Phased Racking For Live Event Manufacturer

The Project

Phased selective and cantilever rack installation for a live event staging manufacturer's 100,000 sq ft warehouse in Lititz, PA. Hammerhead installed 430 pallet positions at four levels and 106 cantilever bays at four levels plus base in a 30-foot clear building, scheduling the work around the client's concert season, and relocated 21 bays of existing racking without teardown using a lift and rolling support system.

The Challenge

A busy concert season meant the Phase 2 area of the warehouse was filled with trusses and rolling pods of stage, audio, and video materials, with incoming rack materials staged inside trailers parked at the loading docks. The installation had to wait for the floor to clear and then move quickly once the summer concert series kicked off, without disrupting an operation that builds and ships staging for live events worldwide.

The Outcome

Hammerhead's install team returned the moment the Phase 2 area was ready and completed the racking around the client's schedule. The finished system delivered 430 pallet positions on punch decking and 106 cantilever bays for trusses and long staging components, with post and row-end protection throughout. The team also relocated 21 bays of previously installed pallet racking intact using a lift and rolling support system, avoiding a full teardown and rebuild.
