What are California's warehouse racking requirements?
California requires storage racks over 5 feet 9 inches to be anchored and seismically engineered under the California Building Code, and most jurisdictions require calculations stamped by a California-licensed structural engineer. If you store combustible commodities above 12 feet, you will also need a high-pile combustible storage permit reviewed by the local fire authority. Requirements vary by city, which is why we confirm the exact submittal package with your jurisdiction before design starts.
Do I need a permit to install pallet racking in Los Angeles?
Yes. The City of Los Angeles requires a building permit for storage rack installations, with seismic calculations, and LAFD review for high-pile storage. Other SoCal cities follow similar processes with their own submittal requirements. We prepare and manage the full permit package as part of every installation.
How fast can you get to my facility for a site visit?
