Point loads come from equipment or shelving legs; rolling loads from a pallet jack
or cart. Leave blank if the deck only carries uniformly spread material — our
engineers will confirm either way.
Seismic design loads are set by site location, so the ZIP is what our engineers need
to size the bracing and anchorage.
Deck Type
Corrugated steel deck with a composite wood overlay (plywood or OSB) — the
most common mezzanine deck. Smooth, quiet underfoot, and the most economical way to
get a solid working floor.

Pallet Gate
A sliding or pivoting gate for forklift pass-through of palletized goods at the deck
edge.
Hand Rail
Perimeter hand rail
42" two-rail guard + 6" kick plate — the standard for industrial use.
Public-access mezzanines often need mesh infill instead.
