Mixed Storage Solutions For Recycling Equipment Manufacturer

The Project

Multi-system storage installation for a recycling plant manufacturer, combining selective pallet racking, cantilever racks, and shelving to organize both large components and small parts across their production facility. The project delivered 504 pallet positions, 77 shelf levels, and 66 cantilever levels, all protected with rack safety accessories and backed by structural engineering for long-term compliance.

The Challenge

As a manufacturer of automated waste sorting and recycling plants, the customer needed a storage solution that could handle everything from oversized components on pallets to small hardware and parts on shelving. During the on-site survey, Hammerhead's team discovered that the building's actual dimensions did not match the original floor plan provided, requiring a complete redesign of the storage layout before installation could begin.

The Outcome

Hammerhead redesigned the layout on-site to fit the building's true dimensions, then delivered and installed all three rack systems in just a few days. Rack protection accessories were included throughout for added safety and longevity. The customer was so pleased with the speed and quality of the work that they returned to Hammerhead for additional racking shortly after project completion.
