The Project

A municipal water district in Las Vegas, NV needed to reorganize a 20,000 sq ft storage operation that no longer fit how the agency worked. Hammerhead removed the existing material and installed a mixed system of selective pallet rack, cantilever rack, and industrial shelving, engineered for the region's seismic requirements, raising capacity by roughly 60% while improving forklift access and reducing foot traffic.

The Challenge

The facility's layout was not cohesive for day-to-day operations, and the agency needed more pallet positions and material storage within the same building. Because Las Vegas sits in a high-seismic region, any new racking also had to be engineered and anchored to meet current seismic code for the loads being stored.

The Outcome

Hammerhead removed and scrapped the existing material, then supplied and installed selective pallet rack, cantilever rack, and industrial shelving suited to the district's mix of palletized goods, long stock, and small parts. The reconfigured layout increased storage capacity by about 60%, opened up cleaner forklift access, reduced foot traffic, and brought the system into seismic code compliance for the region.
